Question of the day

What is your favorite childhood memory?

5 Feedback.

Posted by Tonya:

my Favorite Childhood memory is of my Mom and Dad taking all us kids to Florida for Vacation one year, we didn't do to many things as a family and that is just one of the memories that sticks out in my mind.

One of my fav childhood memories occured when we were living in Papua New Guinea. I was about 7 or so, and every friday evening, (keeping in mind that we didn't have electricity, but rather a generator), Dad would turn off all the lights and we would play hide-and-go-seek as a family in the dark. The only rules were you had to hide INSIDE the house, not outside. That was it! I remember once that Dad hid on top of a door! I mean LITERALLY ON TOP OF THE DOOR! It was incredibly agile and uncomfortable I'm sure! But funny! Ha Ha! Another time Dad and I were hiding from my Mother and younger Brother. SO Dad had the wonderful idea of climbing up through the man hole and sitting inside the roof, on the rafters! I can still remember us both giggling quietly, perched on the rafters, with Mum calling for us down below! Needless to say, Mum said INSIDE the roof was NOT the same as hiding INSIDE the house! Dad would not back down though, and even to this day he claims that we won honestly...
This memory always makes me giggle...
